Please read this and it will answer most initial questions and tell you whether you have found what you need.
Technical Consultancy: this includes a free, no obligation site visit, we will visit your property or give advice on plans or drawings you have… we can meet with you or correspond with you via email or fax to answer all your questions about what can and cannot be done in your bathroom in terms of design and installation. This is a service normally required by those clients who want to have a preliminary idea of what can be done to the bathroom before they embark on a project especially when structural work may be involved. A technical survey will assess the client's ideas with regard to technical and financial issues and constraints can be achieved at this stage. Heating and plumbing systems in the house will be checked.
You may, from this point, be happy with your newly acquired knowledge and carry on with your bathroom design and installation project by yourself. Alternatively, we would be more than happy to supply a quotation for the sanitaryware on a “supply only” basis (see below).
If at this stage you decide to hire our design consultancy services, this will involve us producing a detailed technical drawing to scale of the bathroom including a layout plan of all the sanitaryware and a breakdown of the cost of all items in the bathroom you had initially chosen, (please note, we will change this list of sanitaryware as often as you like, until we have all the items you finally decide on in the bathroom.), leaving you with a detailed plan and complete breakdown of all the items you will need to complete your dream bathroom.
Although the initial consultancy is free. Depending on the complexity of the customer’s requested bathroom, or the amount of alternative plans required, with particular emphasis on the designing the bathroom. And if the bathroom requires more visits to the property, additional consultations or more in-depth investigation (bespoke items), any combination or all of these factors may incur a charge… this would range from £50.00 to £100.00 maximum.
(When you decide to purchase your sanitaryware from our quotation and/or plans, the minimum amount of £50 will be credited back to you and taken off of your final bill) This charge (if necessary), will be agreed upon after the initial consultation.
Complete Bathroom Design Service: This service is often required and purchased by those clients who need a deeper exploration of their bathroom in terms of design possibilities. An extensive design process will maximise the potential of your bathroom by means of technical and ergonomic analysis as in the consultancy visit. After a technical survey a set of preliminary plans is produced, in 2D and all to scale. Offering several options on layout and design, each with it’s own technical drawing to scale and breakdown of sanitaryware (not costed at this point), but an estimate can be given. One of these plans is subsequently picked by the client, to be developed into the final design and quotation, so all other drawings (like elevations and/or detail for any bespoke parts) are carried out forming a set of instructions for a team of fitters to accomplish the installation. The complete bathroom design consultancy service process, helps lay out the works and also aims at predicting any possible problems during installation;
At this point clients can decide to carry on their project by themselves or ask for a supply quotation.
Supply service: During the design consultancy bathroom fittings and furniture are identified and suggested. Normally all the items identified, bespoke or of standard manufacture, can be supplied to clients for their projects. Preferred supply items are those with a traceable manufacturing source mostly from the UK & Europe.
Again, at this stage some clients have trusted builders and can decide to have them install their bathroom.
Project management service: This facility is often required when clients are having this new bathroom installed in their second /holiday home and are not able to be present at all times to oversee work. We would oversee the entire project, organise the tradesmen required, set out the timeline, organise the purchase of all items, giving the client regular updates backed up by digital images of work done. Laising between the client and the tradesmen. These fees are variable depending on the level of our involvement in the project, from nothing to a daily rate or a percentage on the total budget according to size, complexity and location of the project (North Cornwall, Cornwall area) and will be discussed and agreed upon before commencement of work.
